Potatoes Sauteed with Sesame & Miso

Ingredients

For 4 persons

  • 1 lb (approx. 450g) potatoes
  • Appropriate amount of frying oil (Pure White Sesame Oil or cooking oil)
  • 1 tablespoon Roasted White Sesame Seeds

Sauce for Saute

  • 1 tablespoon miso
  • 1/2 tablespoon tomato ketchup
  • 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Pure Sesame Oil
Directions
  • Cut potatoes with skin on into bite-Size pieces.
  • Pour plenty of Pure White Sesame Oil or cooking oil into a pan, heat, and add the potatoes to fry.
  • Remove potatoes from pan and drain oil. Remove extra oil from pan.
  • Mix the ingredients for the "sauce for saute" well in a bowl. Put the sauce in the pan and warm over a low heat.
  • Return the potatoes to the pan, sprinkle Roasted White Sesame Seeds and then saute quickly.
Tips
This dish tastes good eaten cold. Pure Sesame Oil goes well with miso and ketchup.
